Techies 2010 - Best Remarketing System: Manheim Remarketing Multi-Channel Remarketing Website

Date: 24 August 2010

The world of remarketing has needed to move quickly with the times, to ensure customers can not only take part in the auction rooms but also online. Manheim has stepped up to this challenge comprehensively and that is why this year it wins Best Remarketing System award.

According to the company, it was the first to offer a live link to a physical auction and the first to develop an integrated remarketing management system (RMS) for fleets.

Earlier this year, it launched www.manheimremarketing.co.uk, a multi-channel remarketing website, which allows vendors to list all stock, regardless of sales channel, in one location. This includes physical auction, live Simulcast link to auction, 'Buy Now' stock from the new Manheim Direct service and a range of standalone electronic auctions. Manheim's new multi-channel stock search engine, Connect, sits within the new website and gives buyers free access to relevant stock. Manheim claims this function delivers greater exposure, supporting the achievement of higher sales values. Thanks to the integrated website, fleet vendor stock can now be cascaded through sales channels - selected stock can be offered on 'Buy Now' at a premium price for a limited period, before going to physical auction.

The BusinessCar judges also liked the way users can personalise the layout of the homepage so that only services of interest are displayed while those that are not can be minimised. In addition, there's a new 'Live Chat' function on 'Buy Now' stock, which lets buyers engage with a real person to resolve any barriers to purchase, says Manheim.
