The start point for the best source of fleet information

Awards 2012 - Accident Management: The AA

Date: 24 January 2012

It's now three wins in a row for The AA in this category, well and truly wrestling it away from previous owner and arch-rival RAC.

The company describes its accident management offering as "a one-stop, cost-effective outsourcing service for vehicle fleet operators. It is specifically designed to help reduce the cost of accidents and vehicle incidents, reduce downtime, save management effort and improve administrative efficiency."

In the wake of an accident, all insurers will say the key thing in terms of minimising both the cost of the claim and the time a vehicle is off the road is to establish the circumstances of the incident and setting about correcting them as soon as possible. An AA incident coordinator manages every aspect of a case, covering repairs, liaison with the insurance company, personal injury claims and uninsured loss recovery.

The AA has been working hard to successfully interlink its offerings in terms of roadside assistance, risk management and accident management, as well as elements such as driver training.

It's been a good year for the firm in terms of BusinessCar Awards, taking four in total, which shows it is offering the level of service businesses appreciate and need.
