1 What was your first job?

After university, my first proper job was working for Ford Motor Company coding a number of global parts distribution systems. Not glamorous, but very interesting nonetheless

2 What was your first company car, and what do you drive now?

I've never had a company car as the roles I've had never required one (I always take the allowance instead!)  However, my first car was the old-style, very 'boxy' VW Polo. 

It was a great little car - until some reprobate crashed into it parked on the side of the road and did a runner. I now drive a Land Rover Discovery 4 (which is much sturdier than the VW Polo).
I currently drive a BMW 520d M-sport Touring Auto.

3 What did you listen to on your last car journey?

There's nothing better than turning the music up loud to de-stress on the commute back home.  However, on the way into work this morning, I listened to some of the Today programme on Radio 4 as it's a little more 'chilled' and educational at 6.30am.

4 What one thing do you wish you could do better?

A better and more adventurous cook. If my mother wasn't so good when I was younger, and my wife so good now, I'd probably try a little harder and spend more time learning.

5 What's your biggest achievement?

Design and delivery of a bespoke e-commerce platform that is now powering online grocery propositions for Walmart around the world (generating over $1bn in revenue every year).

6 What are your three favourite films?

Good Morning Vietnam, Rain Man, and with two young children, it has to be The Lego Movie.

7 What's the stupidest thing you've done?

I felt pretty stupid when I put petrol in my diesel car. Won't do that again.

8 What was the most hotly debated topic at your last meeting

Strangely, it was an interesting conversation regarding the definition of an introvert.
