The start point for the best source of fleet information

Communication is key for leasing sector

Date: 04 November 2010

The contract hire and leasing sector is failing to meet fleet operators' desired levels of account management and customer communications, according to the Fleeteye survey from automotive research company Experteye.

However, the survey found that most fleet operators (70%) would recommend their contract hire and leasing provider to others and were generally more satisfied with the products and services provided than they were 12 months ago.

Operators were also highly satisfied with the vehicle ordering and delivery process and how their providers "delivered against their agreements".

Fleet operators named value-for-money and vehicle ordering and delivery as their top two priorities.

Experteye chief Rick Yarrow said the survey indicated that "the industry has got its product and service provision right but needs to focus on the softer skills of relationship building, pro-activity and customer contact".
