BCA upgrades inspection

Date: 30 November 2011   |   Author:

Remarketing firm BCA has launched a new 30-point mechanical check service to increase buyer confidence and therefore prices achieved at both physical and online auctions.

The firm hasn't previously offered such a comprehensive mechanical check.

The BCA Assured checks will include an onsite drive to test brakes, plus a look at warning lights, tyre depths, engine noise, fluid levels and suspension as well as a limited gearbox check. Buyers have 48 hours or 500 miles to contact BCA post-sale if the vehicle doesn't match the report supplied with it. The firm will rectify faults that were misreported, or in "extreme circumstances" provide a full refund.

BCA Assured was launched at the firm's Blackbushe and Brighouse sites this month. Four more sites will be added in December, with the entire network on-stream by the end of the first quarter of 2012. At that point, the scheme, initially just for cars, is also set to be pushed out to light commercial vehicles.
