BMW revises X1's looks and engine

Date: 17 May 2012   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

BMW has revised its X1 compact 4x4 by carrying out mild alterations to the exterior and cabin along with a number of updates to the diesel engine range - with the exception of the lowest-emitting 2.0d Efficient Dynamics model - that render it cleaner and more efficient. The changes have brought emissions of every rear-wheel drive X1 under 130g/km.

Also, the previous flagship engine, the four-wheel drive 23d, has been replaced by the 25d, offering 218hp along with 145g/km and 51.4mpg. New trim levels known as Sport and xLine will also be available when the new X1 goes on sale in July.
