Budget 2012: No change to fuel duty or zero emissions vehicles

Date: 21 March 2012   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne has announced that there will be no change to fuel duty plans already set out. That means that the planned three pence per litre increase on fuel in September this year is likely to go ahead.

He also stated that zero emissions vehicles would maintain their maximum capital allowance status for business car drivers. Road hauliers have also had their VED rates frozen.
