Nissan fleet boss set for move to Audi

Date: 28 September 2012   |   Author:

Nissan's corporate sales director James Douglas is moving to Audi, filling the long-standing fleet boss vacancy that appeared when Iain Carmichael left the German brand in May, according to BusinessCar sources.

Nissan confirmed to BusinessCar that Douglas is currently on gardening leave, having spent the past nine years at the Japanese brand, but would not comment on his future destination.

He moved up to head the corporate sales department in January 2011 after four years as fleet director, and will take on the head of fleet sales role when he starts at Audi.

Nissan's fleet sales director Barry Beeson will head the firm's corporate division in the short term, with no decision yet made on Douglas's replacement.

Douglas will report into Audi's new sales director Paul Sansom, who moved up from his previous head of aftersales and service role in a recent restructure.

Carmichael left Audi in May after six years as fleet sales director.
