Renault reveals Captur supermini crossover

Date: 21 January 2013   |   Author: James Dallas

Renault has revealed a new crossover model known as the Captur, which will go head-to-head with the likes of the Nissan Juke and Vauxhall Mokka when it's launched in June.

Based on the same platform as the Clio supermini, Renault claims the 4.12m-long Captur will have best-in-class fuel economy and emissions, with a low of 96g/km.

Power will come from a series of petrol and diesel engines but exact details have yet to be released, with prices expected to start at under £14,000.

Standard equipment will include features such as keyless entry, hill-start assist and rear parking sensors.

Available as an option will be the firm's new in-dash R-Link touchscreen multimedia tablet, plus a infotainment system Bluetooth connectivity and audio-streaming.
