Volkswagen appoints new head of fleet

Date: 02 April 2013   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

Volkswagen's new fleet boss, Michael O'Shea, has been with the firm's fleet department for three years

Michael O'Shea has been appointed head of fleet at Volkswagen UK.

O'Shea, formerly national fleet sales manager, takes up the role following former fleet boss Vince Kinner's shift to the newly created position of group fleet boss and a reorganisation of the VW Group's corporate operations, as reported in the 19 March issue of BusinessCar.

O'Shea has spent the past three years within the company's fleet department, before which he worked in product marketing.

Speaking about his appointment, he said: "I'm ready for this new challenge and excited about ensuring VW customers receive the highest quality products and customer service.

"I have a great team in place to help me do this and we are absolutely focused on delivering our objectives.

"Vince has been a great mentor over the past three years and I look forward to continuing to work with him in his new group role."
