VW Group partners with Ecotricity in green energy offering

Date: 16 October 2013   |   Author:

Volkswagen Group UK has announced a deal with energy supplier Ecotricity to provide 100% green energy to customers buying electric or plug-in vehicles from one of the group brands.

The pure electric Volkswagen e-Up will be first to launch, with the order book open from next month ahead of first deliveries in January 2014, and that's followed by the electric e-Golf in mid-2014.

The third confirmed model is the plug-in hybrid Audi A3 Sportback e-tron.

At point of purchase, Volkswagen Group customers, including user choosers but not fleet buyers, will be offered the choice to go onto Ecotricity's 100% green tariff for their home and car charging supply.
