Tesla opens supercharger in Bristol

Date: 18 November 2014   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Tesla has opened a new supercharger location at the Cribbs Causeway shopping centre in Bristol.

The supercharger is accessible from the M5 motorway and is situated in the car park nearest to John Lewis, and will be available to use 24 hours a day.

It joins Tesla's existing network of nine superchargers in the UK - five in London, one in Reading, one in Birmingham and one in Edinburgh with more planned in the coming months.

Tesla allows its customers to charge their cars for free, for life as part of its offering and they can charge their Model S luxury saloon from a 0 to 170 mile range in 30 minutes.

The American company has previously said it is open to allowing other car makers to use its supercharger network.
