TomTom Business Solutions has rebranded as TomTom Telematics.
A spokesman for the firm told BusinessCar that the new moniker was "a better reflection of its products" and referred more closely to "systems that fleets can put in place to monitor driver behaviour".
Despite the name change, the firm's services remain the same. It said it planned to branch out and move further towards software-based applications, though.
Managing director Thomas Schmidt said: "The fleet management market is expanding rapidly. We are focused on maintaining our strong growth in this sector through innovation and the development of strategic partnerships.
"[We] will continue to help companies achieve higher standards of efficiency."
