The Government is to update its guidance to local authorities later this month, clarifying that it should be possible for non-residential properties to rent out their parking spaces without requiring planning permission.
The move, which will be clarified in the coming days would make it easier for businesses to cash-in on unused spaces, provided there are no "substantive planning concerns", according to the 2015 Budget documents.
