BVRLA appoints Nexus to rebuild RISC system

Date: 02 March 2015   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

The BVRLA has appointed Nexus Vehicle Rental to improve its current risk management tool for its members.

The system, known as RISC, is available to all BVRLA members and forms a central hub of information containing 12,000 cases of problematic issues during a rental period. Any undue behaviour can be logged on the system and can then be viewed by other rental companies.

The system is designed to make businesses less susceptible to theft and fraud., while it also helps protect businesses against identity theft, customer fraud and damage to rental vehicles.

Nexus said it had been appointed to rebuild the system on account of its technology expertise. Its booking software currently provides access to over half a million vehicles in 1750 locations across the UK.

"To work with one of the fleet sector's leading trade bodies is testament to our technological capability and the project is a fantastic opportunity to enhance a critical commercial tool for BVRLA members," said David Brennan, CEO of Nexus Vehicle Rental.
