Esso's fuelcards will be accepted at BP filling stations in the UK from next year following an agreement between the two companies.
There are currently around 1200 BP forecourts in the UK, meaning that Esso's acceptance network will rise to 3400 sites once the roll-out is complete, meaning it can be used at Esso and BP stations, along with Shell sites which already accept the card.
"Drivers and fleet operators alike appreciate the flexibility and convenience of Esso card, and this arrangement with the BP network in the UK will further increase choice and availability," said Duncan Connolly, Esso UK retail sales manager.
