Renault has revealed its much-anticipated Alaskan pick-up ahead it arriving on UK roads next year.
Based on the Nissan Navara pick-up, the Alaskan will be powered by a 2.3-litre diesel engine with outputs of either 160hp and 190hp, both featured in the firm's Master LCV range.
Two other powertrains are available depending on the markets - a 160hp 2.5-litre petrol unit, and a 2.5-litre diesel engine with 160hp and 190hp.
A Renault spokesman could not confirm which engines will be coming to the UK, but it is likely that the petrol motor won't appear as diesel is the dominant fuel in the pick-up market.
The exterior of the vehicle features a large chrome grille hinting towards the firm's future brand identity, while LED daytime running lights are included.
Renault claims the new pick-up has a towing capacity of 3.5-tonnes, the same as the Navara.
Inside, the Alaskan includes a seven-inch touchscreen navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity and smartphone integration.
A wide range of conversions are also available including an ambulance, tow truck, maintenance vehicle, cherry pickers and tippers, while accessories available includes a sliding tray, a metal step, a bed divider and toolboxes.
"With Alaskan, we are on track to take Renault's LCV range forward from being a top regional player to a top global player," said Ashwani Gupta, vice president global head of light commercial vehicles business at Renault.
