The start point for the best source of fleet information

City Car Club to operate Surrey car-share scheme

Date: 11 February 2016   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Surrey County Council has appointed City Car Club as the county's car club provider.

City Car Club will initially operate 14 low-emission vehicles, including two plug-in hybrids, adding five more to its fleet in April.

Vehicles will be located in Guildford, Redhill, Dorking, Leatherhead and Woking, with the car club provider cateringfor both private and business users.

"We're pleased to invite City Car Club on board as they provide a good alternative to car ownership through pay-as-you-go motoring, enhancing the number of different sustainable transport options available to Surrey residents," said Mike Goodman, cabinet member for environment and planning at Surrey County Council.

"We want to encourage people to travel smart and car clubs like this are environmentally friendly and good value for money," he added.
