Mercedes-Benz partners with Chargemaster to offer EV chargers

Date: 16 November 2016   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Mercedes-Benz has partnered with electric vehicle infrastructure giant Chargemaster to offer customers home charging solutions for plug-in or electric cars.

Unlike other manufacturers that have partnered with Chargemaster, Mercedes is not covering the cost of the points. Prices start from £279 for a 3.6kW unit and £354 for a faster 7.0kW version.

Once signed up customers will also benefit from six months' free access to Chargemaster's public network, which normally costs £7.85 a month.

Once the car has been ordered, owners will need to complete an online form, however all properties will need to assessed by Chargemaster for suitability before a point can be installed.
