The start point for the best source of fleet information

New TomTom sales director appointed

Date: 16 December 2016   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

TomTom Telematics has appointed Beverly Wise as its new sales director for the UK and Ireland, taking over from Giles Margerison.

Wise joins the company from Lex Autolease, where she was corporate sales director, and has more than 20 years' experience in the fleet industry, having also held management roles with Leaseplan and incident management company FMG.

She will be responsible for growing the company's sales in this country, through the firm's network of account managers.

"I'm looking forward to playing my part in helping TomTom Telematics cement its position as one of the leading providers of fleet management technology," Wise said. "Telematics can play a key role in helping organisations to stay nimble and competitive in an ever-changing economic landscape. It provides businesses with the tools to help boost fleet efficiency, adapt more responsive customer service practices, safeguard employees and apply more dynamic planning systems."

TomTom Telematics won the Telematics category in the 2016 BusinessCar Techies for its Webfleet fleet management software, which earlier this year was opened up to allow third-party app development and integration.

"TomTom says the goal of Webfleet is to help businesses improve fleet efficiency and vehicle use, reduce fuel costs and support business drivers, and via a bright, modern and innovative approach to software development, it is managing to achieve just that," BusinessCar said.
