Nissan increases E-NV200 warranty

Date: 22 September 2016   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Nissan has extended its E-NV200 electric van's warranty to five years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.

The change affects every E-NV200 purchased from 1 October. Previously, the electric van, which has a range of up to 106 miles, had a warranty that covered three years or 60,000 miles, whichever came soonest.

Nissan's new warranty covers mechanical and electric vehicle components, battery capacity, corrosion (for up to 12 years) and includes roadside assistance.

The light van also has a three-year warranty which covers body parts and paint, while the rest of the firm's LCV range offers a warranty of five years or 100,000 miles.

"At Nissan, meeting the needs of our customers is one of the most influential factors in the development of our products. The Nissan E-NV200 provides a sustainable zero emission transport solution for both businesses and families alike," said Gareth Dunsmore, director of electric vehicles at Nissan Europe. "We want to give our customers peace of mind that the Nissan E-NV200 is a reliable and versatile light commercial vehicle and introducing this five year warranty is a clear demonstration of that confidence."

"We hope that this warranty will offer an even more compelling reason for our customers to consider a zero emission alternative when looking to purchase a new vehicle for their business," he added.
