Based on the flagship Highline trim, the Sportline adds 18-inch alloy wheels and front and rear spoilers to the mix as well as lowered suspension.

The souped up exterior also gets trapezoid styling bars with puddle lights and carbon fibre mirror caps.

The interior includes leather trimming, Climatic air-conditioning,  a heated windscreen and VW's Discover Media touchscreen navigation system.

The extended line-up will include a 2.0 204hp engine and the availability of a six-speed manual gearbox as well as the option of long-wheelbase.
