Lufthansa customers to benefit from Europcar rental agreement

Date: 30 March 2017   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Europcar and German airline Lufthansa have expanded a long-running rental agreement.

The rental giant has been a partner of the airline's frequent fliers scheme for 15 years, offering hire cars to the firm's Miles & More club members.

From now on, though when booking flights, Lufthansa customers will be prompted to add Europcar available services to their order.

Lufthansa said its customers will now be able to experience Europcar's wide range of mobility options, which ranges from short and long-term rental and car sharing services.

Europcar currently operates in 130 countries and territories around the world.

"We are delighted to expand our partnership with Lufthansa and we are eager to offer our mobility solutions to their customers. We share the same customer approach and both our brands stand for high quality of service and customer satisfaction," said Fabrizio Ruggiero, deputy CEO of sales, marketing, customers and InterRent at Europcar Group.

Heike Birlenbach, senior vice president of sales at Lufthansa added: "We look forward to the new partnership and the associated cooperation with Europcar. As the largest premium airline in Europe, we have found another strong, reliable partner in Europcar as Europe's leading car rental company, to provide our customers with premium service in Europe and worldwide."
