Network and prices rolled out for DS 7 Crossback

Date: 09 November 2017

DS has opened the order books for arguably its biggest and most important car to date, the DS 7 Crossback, with first deliveries expected to start early 2018.

Alongside the launch of the new SUV, DS also announced a dedicated network that will be rolled out across Europe in 2018. It will consist of 400 stand-alone DS stores. In the UK, DS will open 30 stores by the end of 2017 and will double the number in 2018.

The new car will initially be launched with two petrol and diesel powertrain options, while a range-topping plug-in petrol hybrid is set to join the line-up in 2019. It will cost from around £50,000.

Combining a 200hp petrol engine with two 80kW electric motors, the high performance 300hp plug-in will come with four-wheel drive and a 35-mile all-electric range. For petrol and diesel buyers, fuel economy is as high as 70.6mpg for the 130hp diesel, while the petrol options will be paired to a new eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard.

The Crossback is available in four trims: Elegance, Performance Line, Prestige and Ultra Prestige. Standard equipment includes 18in alloys, lane-departure warning, rear parking sensors and 3D rear LED lights.

A range of personalisation options and interior styles are also available alongside advanced safety kit, including an intelligent suspension that scans the road up to 5m ahead and then automatically adapts the shock absorbers to suit the road.

Other technology innovations include the DS Connected Pilot, the firm's first step towards autonomous driving that comes as standard with top-of-the-range models, impressive rotating headlamps and an attention-monitoring system that is able to detect signs of fatigue or distraction in the driver.

Prices for the DS 7 Crossback start at £28,050 and order books are open now.
