New Renault UK MD announced

Date: 20 April 2017   |   Author: James Richardson

Groupe Renault UK has announced that Vincent Tourette will take over as the group's managing director, effective immediately.

Tourette has spent the past 23 years working in roles across the Renault-Nissan Alliance and most recently was in Tokyo with Nissan as vice-president, sales and marketing, with global responsibility for the brand's LCV range. Prior to this, he has also worked extensively within Groupe Renault and was CEO for the Nordic region, marketing director in the Netherlands, and also general manager for a Renault Retail Group branch and marketing planning manager at Renault UK.

His new role as managing director for the UK and Ireland will also give him responsibility over the right-hand drive markets of Malta and Cyprus. Tourette takes over from Paul Flanagan - whose future within the group will be announced shortly - and will report directly to Ken Ramirez, senior vice-president, sales and marketing Europe G9.

Commenting on the appointment, Ramirez said: "I am delighted to welcome Vincent back to the UK with Groupe Renault. He is a highly talented executive with a wealth of experience and we are very fortunate to have him again with us in the Europe region."

Furthermore, Tourette said of his own appointment: "It's a very exciting time to be coming back to the UK. I can see that tremendous growth has been achieved in recent years and I'm sure that there will be more to come with the youngest model range in Europe and more to come with the forthcoming launch this year of the all-new Renault Koleos."
