Pricing and specifications revealed for Hyundai i30 Tourer

Date: 28 June 2017   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Hyundai has confirmed its i30 Tourer will be priced from £17,280 when it arrives next month.

All models carry a £500 premium over the i30 hatchback - down from £1,500 - meaning the entry-level price is for the 120hp 1.0-litre petrol engine, which emits 115g/km of CO2, placing it in the 22% 2017/18 benefit-in-kind (BIK) band.

The most frugal model in the range - the 110hp 1.6-litre diesel - costs from £20,140 and emits 99g/km of CO2, putting it in the 21% BIK bracket.

Standard kit includes lane departure warning, a forward collision warning system, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, DAB and Bluetooth.

The SE trim level adds larger 16in wheels (as standard, it is equipped with 15in rims), a 5in touchscreen, rear parking sensors and roof rails.

SE Nav, meanwhile, features a larger 8in touchscreen with sat-nav, wireless phone charging and voice recognition software.

The penultimate trim level, Tourer Premium, adds 17in wheels, climate control, extra driver assistance such as front and rear parking sensors, blind spot detection system and LED headlights.

Tourer Premium SE, the top-of-range trim, adds a sunroof, leather seats and a heated steering wheel.

"The previous generation i30 Tourer models accounted for just over 10% of total i30 sales; however, our expectations are that the new i30 Tourer will achieve much closer to a 20% share," said Tony Whitehorn, president and CEO of Hyundai UK.
