Renault offers Clio to driving instructors from £46 a week

Renault has launched an offer aimed at driving instructors wanting to upgrade vehicles.
The firm is offering its Clio supermini to instructors from £46 a week with an initial down payment of £1,200.
Renault's offer - which lasts until the end of September - includes free metallic paint and dual controls, which the firm said "provides instructors with peace-of-mind when teaching the rules of the road".
The French manufacturer added that every version of the supermini has access to a sat-nav system thanks to its R&GO system. This connects the vehicle to its user's smartphone, which sits in a cradle on the dashboard.
From December, most candidates will be asked to follow directions from a sat-nav as part of a driving test shake-up announced in April.
Candidates won't need to set up the unit, just follow the route it provides. According to the government, 52% of car drivers now have a sat-nav, with ministers saying they want new drivers to be trained to use them safely.
The Clio is priced from £12,445 on the road, with CO2 emissions from 82g/km and fuel economy up to 88.3mpg.
When we tested the Clio in April, we praised the generous levels of kit offered, as well as the car's strong residual values and its big boot. However, its whole-life costs are higher than some of its rivals.
