The start point for the best source of fleet information

Richard Hipkiss appointed as Fleet Operations managing director

Date: 25 January 2017   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Fleet management company Fleet Operations has appointed Richard Hipkiss as its managing director in a newly-created role.

Hipkiss has worked for the company for 14 years, starting as a client services executive. His most recent role has been operations director, a role he has held for the last five years.

In his role as operations directors, Hipkiss developed the company's online vehicle ordering platform Move, while the company claimed it is planning further project launches this year.

He will report into Ross Jackson, CEO of the company.

The appointment is as a result of the company wanting to put in place a structure in order to build on 20% revenue growth achieved in 2016, while Brian Hardwick has taken up the role of head of operations.

"It's an incredibly exciting time for the company and I'm looking forward to leading the business through our next phase of development, and working with our team to deliver on our ambitious targets," Hipkiss said. "Although we have been very successful in delivering class-leading fleet management services, we are aware the market continues to evolve so we are focused on developing solutions that meet the ever-changing needs of fleet operators"

"By maintaining a focus on innovation, technology development, and enhanced service, I am looking forward to further success in optimising financial and operational efficiencies for our valued client base," he added.

"Richard has been a driving force in the organisation's growth over recent years, so represents an excellent choice as managing director. Together, we are committed to building on the company's strengths while adding new layers to our service proposition, designed to ensure we continue to provide clients with innovative solutions to fleet problems," Jackson said.
