Seat becomes fastest-growing brand in fleet

Seat's overall fleet sales grew by 32% in quarter one this year, making the Spanish carmaker the fastest-growing manufacturer in fleet and Motability in the UK.
True fleet sales and Motability volumes were up 86% and 440% respectively compared to quarter one last year, with the Ateca - Seat's first-ever SUV - proving key to the firm's success, while both the revised Leon and new Ibiza broke true-fleet order records too.
Peter McDonald, head of fleet and business sales at Seat UK, commented: "The Ateca is a fantastic product in the most important growth segment in the market, but more significantly it has broadened our brand product portfolio; it has had a very positive effect on our other product lines.
"Following record quarter one registrations, and an even better order take, the future looks bright, and will strengthen further as the brand continues its product offensive, having recently introduced the updated Leon before launching the new Ibiza and Arona before the year ends."
