Tusker invests £2m in IT system updates

Date: 27 January 2017   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Salary sacrifice expert Tusker has announced it is investing more than £2m in its IT and business infrastructure systems as it prepares for further growth this year.

Codenamed Project Marvel, the upgrade involves rewriting the company's computer systems in order to change and improve business processes to better serve customers.

The upgrade follows on from a £500,000 website and phone systems update carried out last year, which identifies drivers from their phone number and automatically puts them through to the right team, with the system also sending the customer's details through to the call handler.

Part of the £2m programme involves upgrading the company's driver portal to make it more mobile-friendly, with drivers able to order vehicles and manage services from any device, while the customer portal - used by fleets - will be upgraded, allowing businesses to manage their vehicles on the move.

"With our rate of growth, we knew we needed to invest in order to maintain our extremely high customer service standards," said Clive Baker, chief technical officer at Tusker. "This is the single largest investment in systems that Tusker has ever made. Our intention is to continue investing and growing, whilst improving on the exceptionally high customer-service levels."
