Mercedes-Benz has confirmed prices and specs for a new variant of its GLC SUV.

The AMG Night Edition model replaces the previously available AMG Line trim.

Styling tweaks include:19in bi-colour alloy wheels; high-gloss black wing mirrors, front and rear aprons and side skirts; front and back black underguards; a radiator grille with integral Mercedes-Benz star, and two louvres in high-gloss black with chrome inserts; and black roof rails.

Inside, black ash wood trim with black artico leather upholstery is standard, while red seat belts are optional.

Standard equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting, LED high performance headlights, heated front seats and automatic climate control.

Also standard is a Mirror package with electrically folding mirrors and automatically dimming exterior driver's mirror and rear-view mirror; active parking assist with Parktronic; and a reversing camera.

Three engines are available: a pair of 2.1-litre diesels with 170hp and 204hp respectively, and a 2.0-litre petrol with 211hp.

All come with nine-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.

Prices are £41,315 for the 170hp diesel, £41,515 for the petrol, and £42,470 for the 204hp diesel.

Orders are open now, with first deliveries expected in February.
