BP service automates Dartford and London tolls

Date: 17 August 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

BP has introduced a service where its fuel card customers who regularly drive across the Dartford Crossing or through London's Congestion Charge zone, can have the payments dealt with automatically.

The Drive Britain system, part of BP's On The Road Services, will make Dartford Crossing payments and then record transactions and send invoices from the International Card Centre alongside other invoices, once a vehicle has been registered.

Upgrading to Drive Britain Plus will also include London Congestion Charge management in the same system, or this is also available as a standalone service.

UK fuel card manager for BP Fuel Cards Andy Allen said: "Our customers have told us that the administration around paying these tolls can be a real headache - especially when it comes to new vehicles.

"By registering with our On The Road Services like Drive Britain and Drive Britain Plus, fleet managers and their drivers can be confident that Dartford Crossing and London Congestion Charge tolls are taken care of, and they won't be receiving an unwanted fine in the post."
