Chevin launches fleet management software aimed at SMEs

Date: 19 April 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

A new fleet management system designed to appeal to SMEs has been launched by Chevin Fleet Solutions.

FleetWave Core is a pre-configured version of Chevin's existing FleetWave software, and is being made available at a lower price.

The firm hopes it will therefore appeal to SMEs as well as larger businesses looking for a lower-cost approach to fleet management.

Chevin managing director Ashley Sowerby said: "Core is comprised of all the key tools and reports that most organisations will need to run an effective fleet operation, and we are continuously updating the application with new features.

"Many organisations we speak to still rely on out-of-date legacy systems, spreadsheets and paper-based methods to manage their fleet, and Core is the perfect application to help them update their processes to best practice, using a modern, cloud-based solution."

The price reduction is said to have been primarily achieved by eliminating the project management and configuration services that are usually included.

This is also said to allow for much faster deployment times.

Sowerby said: "The biggest barrier for most smaller organisations looking at enterprise fleet software is the initial investment and lengthy delivery times.

"Developing a pre-configured version of our product that can be instantly deployed but still expanded with additional functionality post-installation has allowed us to offer the benefits of FleetWave to a much wider market."

Chevin says FleetWave Core's standard features include an asset registry, vehicle and equipment allocations, regulatory and legal compliance, maintenance tracking, fuel logs, accident history, costing reports and dashboard KPIs.

The software can also be extended with a range of additional modules, tools, reports and configuration options.
