Lightfoot names new fleet division MD

Date: 05 April 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Telematics firm Lightfoot has appointed Rupert Lyon Taylor as managing director of its fleet division.

Lyon Taylor originally joined the company last year as operations director.

In his new position he will have primary responsibility for managing the fleet side of the business.

The company says Lyon Taylor's promotion will allow CEO Mark Roberts to focus on future innovations and progressing the business, including international expansion and developing Lightfoot's consumer proposition.

Roberts said: "Rupert has extensive experience from the automotive distribution industry, including overseeing the rapid growth in another innovation-focused business.

"I have no doubt that he will excel as managing director of Lightfoot's fleet division.

"One of his most exciting challenges will be overseeing the doubling of our revenues and workforce this year, whilst ensuring that customers continue to receive the excellent level of service and support for which we have become known. Congratulations Rupert."

Lyon Taylor said: "It really is an exciting time for Lightfoot and I'm thrilled to not only be part of it, but to be leading such a dynamic, devoted team who are all completely on board with our mission.

"Lightfoot is an innovative young company with so much potential, and I look forward to building on our ethos of rewarding better drivers to realise it fully. "We have fantastic customers on board and plenty in the pipeline for the coming year. It's a privilege to take this role on and an opportunity to relish."
