Mercedes-Benz makes senior management changes

Date: 09 April 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Mercedes-Benz has announced two new appointments to its senior management team in the UK.

Rachael Thompson is to join the firm as sales director at the start of the second half of the year, while Krishan Bodhani will take up the role of used cars and remarketing director with immediate effect.

Thompson is joining Mercedes from Jaguar Land Rover, where she is UK sales director.

She has previously worked in a number of roles for brands including Audi, Volkswagen and Ford, and Mercedes say she will bring considerable experience of new car sales operations to her new role.

Bodhani moves from his current role as Mercedes' head of Smart and project management.

Since joining the company in 2015 as head of Smart, he is said to have been instrumental in delivering record-breaking sales results.

Mercedes says an announcement regarding Bodhani's successor will be made in due course.

Gary Savage, Mercedes' UK managing director, said: "I am looking forward to working with Rachael and Krishan to further develop and strengthen our business success."
