New diesel engine added to VW T-Roc range

Date: 07 August 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

A new diesel engine is now available with Volkswagen's T-Roc small SUV. It is a 1.6-litre unit which produces 115hp.

The new engine is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive. The T-Roc now achieves an official combined fuel economy of 64.2mpg and CO2 emissions of 115g/km.

Prices for T-Rocs with the new engine start from £21,290 for entry-level S trim, and rise to £27,010 for range-topping R-Line trim.

Other engines in the T-Roc range are a 2.0-litre, 150hp diesel, and three petrol engines - a 1.0-litre with 115hp, a 1.5-litre with 150hp, and a 2.0-litre with 190hp.

Four-wheel drive is standard with the 2.0-litre engines, while a seven-speed automatic gearbox is standard with the 2.0-litre petrol and optional with the 1.5-litre petrol.

Standard equipment on all T-Rocs includes an 8in touchscreen with VW's Composition Media infotainment system, autonomous emergency braking, halogen clear headlights with LED daytime running lights, dual-zone climate control and electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors.
