Record attendance expected for ICFM conference

Date: 09 March 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

More people than ever before are expected to attend fleet training organisation ICFM's Annual National Members' Conference.

With less than two weeks to go to the event at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon on 20 March, more than 200 members and their guests have registered to attend.

ICFM has confirmed the full line up of speakers for the event, entitled Fuel for the Future, the Emissions Dilemma. They are:

. Paul Tate, commodity manager for fleet for Siemens PLC

.Dale Eynon, director of DEFRA Group Fleet Service - Environment Agency

.Stewart Lightbody, head of fleet services for Anglian Water

.Alison Moriarty, fleet risk and compliance manager for Skanska

.Rupert Pontin, director of valuations for Cazana

.Tony Greenidge, business development director for IAM Roadsmart.

The celebrity guest speaker will be former Scotland rugby union captain Gavin Hastings.

Jaguar Land Rover will be host sponsor for the event, with Chargemaster as headline sponsor, and Accident Exchange, CD Auction Group, Geotab, Jaama and Selsia Vehicle Networks as support sponsors.

ICFM director Peter Eldridge said: "Advance delegate registrations mean that the 2018 Annual National Members' Conference will set an attendance record for an ICFM Conference.

"That, we believe, underlines the importance that the membership attaches to the role of the ICFM in enhancing their skills and fleet management knowledge and the fact that fleet decision-makers are facing more changes today than in the past 25 years.

"The evolution of the sector is becoming ever more rapid and without the skills that ICFM training provides, and the ability to quiz industry experts, fleet chiefs could find themselves making poor decisions that will impact on the operating efficiency and effectiveness of their vehicles and businesses."
