Specs revealed for facelifted Skoda Fabia

Date: 14 June 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Skoda has announced full specifications for the revised version of its Fabia supermini.

The facelifted Fabia is available in five trim levels - S, SE, Colour Edition, SE L and Monte Carlo - and as a hatchback or estate.

Compared with the outgoing model, styling tweaks have been made to the bonnet, grille, headlights and rear bumper.

As previously announced, Skoda has dropped diesel power from the Fabia range, instead offering an initial choice of three 1.0-litre petrol engines; a naturally aspirated unit producing 75hp, and two turbocharged engines producing 95hp and 110hp.

The most powerful engine is available with the option of a seven-speed automatic gearbox.

A further 1.0-litre petrol engine with 60hp will begin production in December.

Standard equipment on all models includes LED daytime running lights and autonomous emergency braking.

SE trim adds equipment including front fog lights and 15in alloy wheels, while Colour Edition adds 16in alloy wheels in white, silver or black.

SE L adds equipment including sat-nav and front centre console lighting, while Monte Carlo adds climate control, LED rear lights and rear electric windows, along with styling features including black front spoiler, black roof, black floor mats and carbon-effect dashboard trim.

Optional equipment includes blind spot monitoring and a rear traffic alert systems.

A tyre-depth gauge has also been added to the ice scraper concealed in the fuel filler cap as part of Skoda's 'Simply Clever'-branded range of convenience features.

Skoda says recommended retail prices for the facelifted Fabia range start from £11,160; however, on-the-road prices cannot be confirmed until official CO2 emissions figures have been obtained.

Order books are open now, with the first deliveries in September.
