Lexus's Paris show star was the IS 250 convertible featuring a folding metal hard top.
The four-seat convertible's powered drop-top is claimed to fold in 20 seconds and is designed to maintain as much boot space as possible over the regular saloon version of the IS.
The new Lexus will go on sale in the UK in time for the 2009 summer.
The IS convertible will only be available with Lexus's 205PS V6 petrol engine.
