Volvo cuts prices on S40, V50 and S80

Date: 05 February 2007

Volvo V50

Volvo has cut the P11D prices on three models as it adjusts spec to fall in line with premium brand rivals.

Prices come down by more than £1000 in most cases on the S40 saloon and its V50 estate sibling, and on the executive S80. The S40 now starts at £13,750, the V50 from £15,995 and the S80 from £24,995.

Volvo feels it hasn't been gaining the benefit of offering leather in its SE trim when brands such as Audi and BMW don't, so it has cut prices and dropped leather to become more attractive to corporate drivers.

Powered drivers' seat and upgraded sound system are also now emitted from the SE spec.
