The start point for the best source of fleet information

Audi A6 Allroad 2.7TDI

Date: 14 June 2006

What's new Semi-off-road version of the A6 Avant. Comes with height adjustable suspension as standard and will be available in limited numbers - ensuring good RVs.

Excellent

Falls into the category of 'the only car you'll ever need' as it will do just about everything you can throw at it.

Good It will go further off-road than most customers will ever need. And will certainly be useful if you tow horse boxes, or demo booths to field-based events

Average On our test car the wood trim for the centre console did not match the lids to cubby areas - you wouldn't stand for this in a Jaguar.

Poor While most of the car felt excellently bolted together, our car also suffered an annoying and unidentifiable rattle from the boot area.

Verdict A superb car, but costly next to the just-as-competent Volvo XC70.
