Parking brake

The Volvo V60 follows in the path of many modern cars by having an electronic parking brake, removing the hefty space a traditional one takes up in the central console of a car.

The V60's version is found to the right of the steering wheel and a long reach down. Despite driving it regularly, I still find this an unnatural position for a handbrake.

On the other hand, the handbrake automatically disengages when you pull away, removing the need to fiddle with the switch, and allows for a swift getaway; a feature the BusinessCar team has praised.
