Chery has revealed specs and prices for its first UK market model, the Tiggo 8.

The seven-seater SUV will be available with a choice of petrol and plug-in hybrid powertrains, with the latter offering an EV-only range of 56 miles.

The model will be available with a choice of Aspire and Summit equipment grades.

Standard equipment with the Aspire grade will include heated seats, a 15.6in centre console display, Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone air conditioning, parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, a 540-degree camera set-up, and a comprehensive ADAS package.

Further equipment with the Summit grade will include ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, a hands-free automatic tailgate, a head-up display, a panoramic sunroof, and multi-colour ambient lighting.

Range prices start at £28,545 for a petrol Tiggo 8, and £33,545 for a plug-in hybrid.

Pre-orders are open now. The first deliveries are due from 1 September.

Chery is the owner of the Omoda and Jaecoo brands – it announced plans to also sell vehicles in the UK under its own name earlier this year.
