Volvo has opened orders for the 2026 model year version of its EX90 electric SUV, featuring several upgrades.
Among the changes is the introduction of 800V battery architecture, replacing the previous 400V set-up, which combined with upgraded software means 155 miles of range can now be added in 10 minutes via a 350kW charger.
The 800V technology is also said to deliver more power for faster acceleration, improved energy efficiency, and reduced weight.
Other upgrades include the fitting of a new dual Nvidia Drive AGX Orin-based core computer, allowing a range of safety system improvements. Among these are new connected safety alerts, automatic e-call functionality with emergency stop assist, expanded automatic emergency steering functionality in darkness, and Park Pilot assist for parallel parking.
The computer upgrade can also be retrofitted to 2025 model year EX90s via Volvo dealers.
The EX90 also now features an electrochromic panoramic roof.
