Vauxhall has confirmed UK specs and prices for the new, more powerful version of its Grandland Electric SUV.
The Grandland Electric AWD is the brand’s first fully electric car to come with all-wheel drive.
It features two electric motors, one on each axle, for a combined 325hp.
A 73kWh battery allows a range of up to 311 miles on the official WLTP cycle, while a 160kW DC charging capability will allow a 20-80% charge in 26 minutes.
Distinguishing design features of the AWD version include aerodynamically optimised inserts on the front and rear bumpers. With a drag coefficient of 0.278, the AWD is said to be the most aerodynamically efficient Grandland model.
The variant also features frequency-selective damping technology.
The Grandland Electric AWD is available with GS and Ultimate equipment grades, with prices, including the UK Government’s Electric Car Grant (pending confirmation), of £35,495 and £36,995 respectively.
