The Omoda 7 has been announced as the brand’s third model for the UK market.

A mid-size SUV, the 7 will sit between the compact 5 and larger 9 SUVs in the Omoda line-up.

It will be available with a choice of two powertrains – a 147hp pure petrol, and a 204hp plug-in hybrid. The latter, badged Super Hybrid System (SHS), will feature an 18.3kWh battery, allowing a 56-mile EV-only range, with battery charging at up to 40kW, and vehicle-to-load capability.

The Omoda 7 will be offered with a choice of Knight and Noble equipment grade.

Standard features of the Knight grade will include a heated eco leather steering wheel, dual-zone air-conditioning, a six-speaker Sony audio system, cooled 50W wireless smartphone charging, and 19in alloy wheels.

Further features of the Noble grade will include a 12-speaker Sony audio system, six-way electrically adjustable driver and front passenger seats with heating and ventilation, power tailgate, a 1.45m panoramic sunroof and 20in alloy wheels.

The Omoda 7 will go on sale in January, with prices starting at £29,915 for the petrol and £32,000 for the SHS.
