Polestar has announced that it will be integrating Google Gemini, the tech giant’s next-generation AI voice assistant, into all its models from the Polestar 2 onwards.
The system is said to be an upgrade from Google Assistant, designed to allow users to have a “more natural conversation” with their vehicle via integrated generative AI.
Gemini will be rolled out to Polestar cars from next year.
Speaking to coincide with a demonstration of the technology at the Slush tech show in Helsinki, Finland, Polestar head of UI/UX Sid Odedra said: “Our collaboration with Google is a great example of how we continue to evolve the digital experience in our cars.
“Gemini brings the next generation of AI voice interaction into the car, and we’re excited to give a first look at how it will enhance the driving experience.”
