Software company Epyx has launched a new feature designed to help customers minimise vehicle off-road times.

The Downtime Management dashboard, part of the 1link Service Network Insights range of products, displays metrics using real-time data, including when vehicles at garages are overdue to return to the road, and how many vehicles are currently being rented to cover for downtime.

It also includes a service level rating for each garage.  

The dashboard is available free to fleets who already subscribe to the optional Downtime Management service.

Epyx chief commercial officer Tim Meadows said: “Our Downtime Management value-added service has always been a popular product, providing fleets with a highly effective means of getting vehicles back on the road as soon as possible. 

“It allows them to monitor their current situation and set up automatic progress requests to garages working on their vehicles, asking the reason for any delays.

“The new dashboard has been created in response to customer suggestions and is, we believe, the next level in downtime management. It provides managers looking after SMR with an at-a-glance picture of their overall situation, highlighting in a structured manner which vehicles and garages require action while creating a schedule of work.”
