Satnav systems that can’t handle full postcodes suck.
I used to think the Avensis was such an offender. On the ‘destination’ page there’s no such icon in sight, just an option to find the first part of a postcode within the ‘town’ page under the ‘address’ menu – which can be as annoying as not knowing it at all.
Only a chance glance at the manual while trying to find out something else revealed its hiding place. Pressing the innocuous ‘one of two’ button at the top (marked ‘1/2’) reveals another page (‘2/2’) with a ‘UK postal code’ option. Glory be! But surely it deserves higher billing?
