The start point for the best source of fleet information

Awards 2009 - Service Supplier of the Year: Manheim

Date: 27 January 2009

With voting at record levels this year for the BusinessCar Awards, Manheim's win - coming on top of a first position in the Auctions category - is impressive.

BusinessCar readers clearly recognise that over the past few years Manheim has built up an unrivalled reputation for excellence and a wide range of services beyond auctions.

Manheim attributes this reputation to an overriding philosophy of partnership with its customers.

"The collaborative approach to the many challenges that face the automotive industry today is supported by many years of de-fleet and remarketing expertise and puts Manheim in the strongest possible position to overcome whatever market challenges we face over the coming months and years," said Rob Barr, communications director.

"With an unparalleled range to products and services, all available in modular format, Manheim is able to cater for the varying requirements of fleet customers large and small, throughout both the UK and Europe.

"But we never lose sight of the basic principle: to present our customers' vehicles to the greatest number of buyers, in the best possible condition, to maximise sales values in the shortest possible time. Services for corporate fleet customers include: remarketing management systems; vehicle collection and inspection; provision of inspection software; asset management and debt recovery; vehicle reconditioning; physical auction; Simulcast and online auction; dedicated account management; performance reporting and market intelligence."

Manheim's reaction to the slide in used car values has also impressed, particularly with the introduction of Superseller days, where vendors, mainly business car finance and leasing companies, guarantee to sell 80% of cars they put into auction.

Lloyds TSB Autolease's highly commended in this category is also impressive and adds to the firm's win in the fleet management and leasing category.
